Heat 8 F9U - BTMC (Sept 19-20)

On 19 and 20 September 2026, we welcome the Belgian F9U Drone Racing Championship to our home field at BTMC in Sint-Joris, Beernem.

For me as organiser, this is a real home match. For the visiting pilots, however, it means entering BTMC territory—where we know every bump, every tree and every suspicious gust of wind by name.

Two days of FPV action

We are preparing a complete weekend filled with speed, competition and entertainment.

Saturday will bring the first racing action of the weekend. When the racing ends, the drones will not be packed away just yet: on Saturday evening, we will host an FPV Freestyle Competition AND potential night/evening flying (up to 7 inch). So the stopwatch will make way for creativity as pilots show off their best tricks, most daring combinations and spectacular flying. Expect flips, dives and manoeuvres that look physically impossible—or financially unwise.

On Sunday, the focus returns to the Belgian Championship. The country’s fastest F9U pilots will battle for valuable points in Heat 8. With the season approaching its final stages, every gate and every fraction of a second will count.

Pilots, supporters and spectators are warmly invited to join us. Whether you follow every championship result or have never seen an FPV drone race before, we promise two days of close racing, impressive flying and the welcoming atmosphere for which BTMC is known.
